Nothing like having to go to the airport at 4:45am :)

But the plane to Cambodia awaits!

As do the parties in Siem Reap!

The very official looking Dept of Cults and Religions.

Hey kid, want some candy?

The seriously intense "Land Mine Museum"

it's estimated that there's still millions of unexploded mines...

...scattered through the Cambodia countryside...

...Aki Ra was an old Khmer Rouge child soldier...

...who now is on a mission to de-mine Cambodia!

But even conservative estimates think it's possible by 2020!

It's a slow, slow, slow process. Mainly done like this.

Imagine being the designer of these hell causing devices!

Almost as bad as the damn Khmer Rouge themselves!

Amputees showed us around - every day mines explode.

People are also hurt by scattered spikes in the undergrowth.

The chickens don't seem to care too much though.

Signs appear only after some have exploded.

This is the mangiest dog I've ever seen.

Movie time with chickens.

This was the only time I saw the kids form a nice line.

Method to carry 3 live pigs on a scooter.

I got you little buddy!

The fanciest bathroom in many a month!

Bar Street in Siem Reap. The usual debauchery.

The kids offered no help to our dead battery. But still wanted a dollar.

Approaching Angkor Wat from the other side of the moat.

Immediately you are amazed by the colors and textures!

The 5 towers loom in the distance...

1000 years ago the open area was filled with the village.

Only the most important monks would go into the main temples...

...the whole structure was built not as a place to worship...

...but as a masterfully detailed home to the Gods...

Hence the seriously difficult to climb steps...

Stones were carried from mountains many miles away...

And this is just ONE of MANY structures in the area...

...amazingly they let you climb all over the place!

"Quick, no one's coming - take it!"

That's my fancy new explorer hat.

Seriously steep.

The limestone discoloration make it seem very mystical.

Oh, and it was so damn hot. I mean really hot.

There was a lot of respect paid to the phallus. Damn right.

Inside there were many Buddha's - the more the better.

Explorer Pose.
